Giles is an associate in the private client team, specialising in contentious trusts and probate. He advises on all aspects of trust and estate litigation including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, will validity disputes, disputes around the removal of trustees and personal representatives, cases involving DNA verification, estate and trust administration disputes, claims relating to constructive trusts and/or proprietary estoppel and estate co-ownership disputes.
He also has experience of advising on cases relating to charities and charitable legacies, as well as on those involving both domestic and international elements.
Having trained with the firm, Giles qualified at Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2015. He is a member of The Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA) and Institute of Legacy Management (ILM).
