Laura Naser

Partner

Laura is an award-winning partner in the family law team with extensive experience of complex domestic and international divorce and separation, high-net-worth financial settlements and children’s disputes.

Highlighted by the legal directories as ‘one to watch’ and a ‘future queen bee’ of family law, peers have said that ‘clients really warm to Laura and feel that she is fighting their corner, which she does with equal measures of charm and vigour when required’. She regularly deals with a variety of domestic and cross-jurisdictional high-net-worth financial matters, most recently in the USA, Turkey, Singapore, Australia and Europe. Laura is a well-regarded advisor in children’s disputes, such as with whom the children should spend their time, domestic and international relocation of children, school choices and religious disputes.

My passion for and expertise in resolving complex family law issues translates through to my clients with my empathetic and pragmatic advice. This includes formulating a solid case strategy from the outset to enable my clients to feel knowledgeable, confident and supported in resolving their dispute as amicably and efficiently as possible.

Her experience also spans acting for clients in emergency situations and making urgent applications to the court in cases relating to children, finances and domestic abuse. As an active advocate of non-court dispute resolution, Laura supports her clients in the use of mediation, hybrid mediation, private hearings and arbitration.

Laura excels in sharing her knowledge in translatable terms direct to the public. She is the author of The Family Lawyer’s Guide to Separation and Divorce – How to Get What you Both Want, and praised by The Times on Sunday as a ‘divorce influencer’ due to her popular @TheFamilyLawyer account on Instagram. She advocates informing yourself as early as possible when a relationship breaks down or a children’s dispute arises.
