Simon is a partner in the corporate team. He qualified in 1992 and joined the firm as a partner in 2004, having previously been a partner at another leading UK law firm. Simon advises corporates and their owners on all their company and business law requirements.

His focus is on cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, management buy outs, reorganisations and shareholders' agreements. He works for businesses active in the UK and internationally and regularly advises on multi-jurisdictional transactions and projects for clients looking to enter the UK market through investment or acquisition. He has a special interest in supporting businesses involved in technology and education and works with clients in the vital consideration of sustainability in business transactions and the impact of law on the green economy.

International connections are an important part of Simon’s work and he is one of Penningtons Manches Cooper's contacts for Multilaw, which is a leading global association of independent law firms and one of the few major networks to offer local know-how in the world's main financial centres.

He is recognised as a notable practitioner and ranked in band 1 in the latest edition of Chambers UK, which notes that Simon ‘is widely considered as one of the region’s leading lights in complex transactional and company law matters’.
