Amy is a partner in the family team. She has experience in all aspects of the legal issues arising from relationship breakdown including the financial consequences of separation, arrangements for the care of children and obtaining financial relief after overseas proceedings. She has particular expertise in complex financial disputes, often with an international element.
A member of Resolution, Amy has written a number of articles for New Law Journal and she recently drafted Penningtons Manches Cooper’s response to the Government consultation on the reform of the legal requirements for divorce. Amy features in the prestigious Citywealth Leaders list and won bronze in the ‘Family Lawyer of the Year Senior Associate’ category of the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2018. In 2021, she was highly commended in the ‘Family Law Associate’ category of the Family Law Awards. At the same awards, the case of Re H v N and Others (Court of Appeal), on which Amy worked on a pro bono basis, was named ‘Case of the Year’. In 2022, Amy was named as a ‘Rising Star’ in The Spear’s 500.
Amy joined the firm in 2008 as an associate. She was appointed a senior associate in 2014 and became a partner in 2023. She studied English literature at the University of Exeter, graduating in 2003 with a First, before studying law at BPP Law School and gaining a distinction in the LPC.
