Laura Hughes, Partner

Laura is not daunted by complex Children Act matters, those facing concurrent cross-applications or set aside applications. She is child focussed, cost aware and has a great attention to detail. Where possible, she seeks a resolution outside of court proceedings using non-court dispute resolution options but is adept at managing challenging contested litigations.

Laura is the current co-chair of The Association of Women Solicitors Surrey, and was formerly the treasurer and deputy chair of YRes Surrey for a number of years. In 2021, Laura was named Citywealth’s Silver Family Lawyer of the Year – Senior Associate. She is also a member of Resolution, the nationwide organisation which promotes a constructive, transparent and pragmatic approach to all family law matters.
