Profile

Meghan qualified in 2010 and joined Penningtons Manches Cooper’s immigration team in 2020 from a niche immigration practice.

She has worked in the UK immigration field since 2007 and advises in all aspects of UK immigration and nationality law, providing in-depth advice to a range of clients including SMEs, large multinationals, high net worth individuals, high profile celebrities, tech firms and entrepreneurs. Meghan has particular knowledge of complex European and UK nationality matters and regularly assists both private and corporate clients in devising immigration solutions, including Brexit preparation.

Recognised by Who’s Who Legal as an expert in UK corporate immigration, Meghan is an active member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association. She regularly provides immigration training for HR and recruitment teams and other practitioners.

Recent work highlights

  • Successfully challenging an incorrectly refused spouse visa application while simultaneously assisting the non-British husband in entering the UK as a visitor in the interim to join his new wife and family for a wedding celebration/reception here.
  • Advising a multinational technology company in the implementation of compliant Tier 2 systems and processes and providing training to key personnel regarding navigation and use of the sponsor management system.
  • Assisting an established UK entity transfer its Tier 2 sponsored employees via TUPE arrangements to another sponsor following its takeover.
  • Assisting several high-profile international artists and entertainers obtain UK immigration status to work in the UK to participate in location filming here.
