Tim is a senior associate in the construction and infrastructure team in London, specialising in construction and engineering projects. He acts across a range of sectors, including housing, leisure, utilities, and energy, and provides support to all stakeholders, including funders, investors, developers and contractors, on the preparation of documentation relating to a wide variety of projects. These include wind, solar, biomass, battery storage and reserve power schemes.

Tim is widely experienced in a variety of standard form contracts including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, IChemE and LOGIC. He also advises on related documentation including project specific documents, such as security documents (bonds, parent company guarantees, letters of reliance), and consultancy/professional team appointments and collateral warranties. As well as dealing with the non-contentious aspects of projects, Tim assists clients on the solving of problems and on construction-related disputes.

Earlier in his career Tim spent four years working in-house at an international design and engineering consultancy.

  • Advising a funder on a major mixed use development in central London, including a new hotel, commercial and residential blocks.
  • Acting for a fund manager on the acquisition and development of various gas-fired reserve power projects.
  • Acting for an asset manager on the sale of five fully operational battery storage facilities, with a combined capacity of 70MW.
  • Advising a utility company on a number of packages of works for a significant nuclear new build project.
