Chambers UK
Clinical Negligence

At Penningtons Manches Cooper we pursue many medical negligence claims each year on behalf of patients who are not properly investigated, diagnosed, treated or advised by accident and emergency teams across the country.

Given the very diverse range of injuries that present in these departments, there is a wide variety of circumstances giving rise to accident and emergency claims. Just as the injuries vary, so too do the effects of sub-standard care which can range from catastrophic consequences, as a result of patients not being properly diagnosed or treated, to more minor injuries. Claims may include the following:

  • failure to correctly investigate and diagnose
  • failure to act appropriately on results of investigations
  • failure to treat properly
  • failure to refer appropriately for further investigation and treatment
  • wrongful discharge
  • delay in investigation/treatment

Our experienced team can advise in relation to a wide range of claims.
