Alison Johnson

Partner

Alison is a partner in the medical negligence team, with over 20 years’ experience in medical negligence litigation. She is a technically skilled solicitor specialising in cases involving gynaecological negligence, neonatal and paediatric cases, complex oncology cases, sepsis, stroke and other acquired brain injuries from neurological negligence.

She oversees the team’s maternal and gynaecological injuries and stroke claims sub-groups. Alison has successfully concluded a significant number of cases involving injury of the utmost severity, and of huge importance to her clients. She is regularly praised by clients and counsel for her superior standard of client care, her empathy, creativity in negotiations, drive, and effectiveness. By running all her cases proactively, efficiently and collaboratively, she takes all opportunities to settle pre-action, to avoid the stresses clients endure during litigation. Alison achieves excellent results for her clients, so they feel compensated, listened to, and that lessons have been learnt from their experiences.

I started my medical negligence career as a defendant solicitor, but found my calling as a claimant solicitor. I enjoy working closely with my clients, getting to know them and really being able to present their individual claims as thoroughly, compassionately and empathetically as I can.
