Four Penningtons Manches private wealth lawyers shortlisted in Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2018

Posted: 21/06/2018

Four members of Penningtons Manches’ private wealth group have been shortlisted for categories in the Citywealth 2018 Future Leaders Awards. Now in its third year, the annual awards programme champions young professionals in the wealth sector in order to find the best up and coming practitioners under 40.

Private client and tax partner Lucy Edwards, senior associate Amy Fox and associate Kate Molan from the firm’s family team, and private client and tax associate Daniel Brandon have all been included in the shortlist, for the ‘Lawyer of the Year – Partner’, ‘Family Lawyer of the Year – Senior Associate’, ‘Family Lawyer of the Year – Associate’ and ‘Lawyer of the Year – Associate’ categories respectively.

Lucy, who was promoted to partner earlier this year, has been named as one of eprivateclient's 'Top 35 Under 35' and recommended by the leading legal directory The Legal 500. As well as winning the gold award for the 'Lawyer of the Year - Associate' category at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards in 2016, Lucy received the Tomorrow Club Award at Citywealth’s Magic Circle Awards in 2015 and features in its Leaders List and Future Leaders 100 List for 2017. Amy featured in the Citywealth Leaders List in both 2015 and 2016. She has been with Penningtons Manches since 2008, advising on all areas of family law but with a particular specialism in separation and divorce, care of children disputes and complex financial disputes. Kate, who has also featured as a ‘future leader’ in the prestigious Citywealth Future Leaders Lists in 2015 and 2016 and 2017, has a particular focus on matters involving complex financial issues as well as those with an international dimension. The final nominee Daniel was included in Citywealth’s Future Leaders List in 2015 and Future Leaders 100 directory in 2017. He has been featured in eprivateclient’s 'Top 35 Under 35' list for young private client practitioners.

The shortlist follows the recent success of Penningtons Manches’ private wealth group at the 2018 Citywealth Magic Circle Awards, where its London-based private client team came runner up in the ‘Law Firm of the Year – London’ category. The practice has gone from strength to strength following the recent hire of family partner Linzi Bull, who specialises in LGBT familiar and international surrogacy, as well as private client associates Rachel Spruce, Jack Bailey and Jessica Davies who all joined the firm earlier this year. Three key partner promotions were announced in April 2018 for private client lawyers Lucy Edwards and Henrietta Mason, and family lawyer Edward Floyd.

The ceremony takes place at the Rosewood Hotel in London on 8 November and voting closes on 19 October 2018. For more information on the awards, to view the full shortlist and vote, please click here.
