Tom is an associate in the corporate team, based in the London office. He has experience in a wide variety of corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures, equity capital markets, and general corporate advisory matters.

He has acted for a broad range of clients, from small family owned businesses, to larger corporates. Tom regularly supports on both UK and cross border transactions, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the commercial, regulatory and practical considerations that arise in complex corporate work. With a proactive style and a focus on clear, commercially grounded advice, he aims to guide clients through transactions efficiently while helping them balance immediate objectives with longer term strategic goals.

Tom joined the firm in 2021 as a paralegal, before progressing to trainee solicitor, and subsequently qualifying into the corporate team. This route has provided him with a deep familiarity with the firm’s clients, internal processes and collaborative approach, as well as hands on experience across multiple practice areas. His progression through the firm enables him to bring insight, consistency and continuity to the matters he supports.

Advising hospitality group St James Hotel Limited, and its indirect subsidiary Miller Street Hotel Limited, in connection with the acquisition of the ibis Styles Glasgow Centre George Square hotel from Maven Capital.

Group asset sale

Advising on the disposal by a pharmacy group of multiple pharmacies to a number of different purchasers.

Share buyback and exit advisory

Assisting a company with a shareholder’s exit, including the negotiation and execution of a share buyback arrangement.

FTSE-250 listed company capital raise

Working on a substantial fundraise for Sirius Real Estate Limited, which resulted in gross proceeds of more than £150 million.

Group reorganisation

Working with a large cross-border team on a complex group reorganisation involving numerous different companies in a number of jurisdictions.

Childcare company sale

Advising on the sale of a leading after-school club childcare company which involved a cross-border element, as the buyer’s parent company was based in Australia.
