Penningtons Manches Cooper advises Camion on acquisition by Deepki
Penningtons Manches Cooper has advised Camion, a London-based real estate electrification-focused AI startup, on its acquisition by Deepki, a leading real estate data solutions provider. The transaction brings together Camion’s specialist agentic AI technology with Deepki’s real estate data platform, supporting the continued electrification and decarbonisation of the built environment.
Founded in 2023, Camion has developed an AI-powered platform designed to accelerate the deployment of electrification infrastructure across real estate portfolios. The company’s solutions utilise advanced agentic AI and localised predictive financial models to help real estate owners, developers, and investors forecast demand, integrate tariff and grid data, and identify optimal investment opportunities in solar generation, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The acquisition represents an important milestone for Camion and positions the business to scale its AI-powered electrification technology through Deepki’s platform, which supports more than 500,000 real estate assets globally. By combining Camion’s electrification expertise and agentic AI capabilities with Deepki’s real estate data intelligence, the enlarged group aims to help real estate owners identify higher-value energy investments, improve portfolio performance, and accelerate the transition to more sustainable and resilient real estate assets.
The Penningtons Manches Cooper team was led by corporate partner Matthew Martin with support from senior associate Emily Macdonald, and associates Jenny Wright and Tom Morris. The wider team included corporate tax partner Oliver Gutman.
