Lucy Clark, Associate at Penningtons Manches
Areas of expertise: Family law, Private wealth

Profile

Lucy is a senior associate in our leading family law team in London and advises clients on specialist family matters. Since joining Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2014 from a top 20 national law firm, Lucy has worked alongside partner Anna Worwood who is renowned for her expertise in relocation cases. Lucy and Anna represented the father in the significant Court of Appeal case of Re C which clarified the law in relation to internal relocation cases.

In addition to her expertise in relocation cases, Lucy has developed a strong reputation for achieving workable, child-focused outcomes in challenging disputes concerning care of children after separation. Since qualifying in 2010, she has gained considerable experience in negotiating complex financial settlements on divorce. Having initially acted as a commercial litigation lawyer before transferring to family law, Lucy now enjoys applying her commercial knowledge to her clients' circumstances. Trained in dealing with the media, she represents a number of high profile individuals and understands the importance of extreme discretion. She is also a trained mediator (accredited by ADR Group) and is well experienced in helping separating families create their own agreements in order to ensure strong and long-lasting future relationships.

Lucy is a member of the Family Mediation Council, as well as being an active member of Resolution and a former committee member. She receives excellent feedback from her clients who have described her as professional, understanding, strong and determined. Examples of recent commendations include 'Lucy has a sense and sensitivity unerring and remarkable in one so young' and 'with so many grateful thanks for your endless patience, kindness and reassurance'.
