Helen heads the business services division and is a member of the management board. Working out of both the Cambridge and London offices, she advises a full range of clients on all aspects of company law, specialising in mergers and acquisitions with a particular focus on MBO transactions and property-related disposals and purchases. She has extensive experience in corporate reorganisations, including solvent liquidations, demergers and the implementation of other tax planning schemes. With an established track record in acting for family-owned companies, she also has significant expertise in the private wealth sector and works closely with the firm’s real estate teams on a wide variety of corporate and financing transactions.
Helen is a key member of the firm's banking and finance team, acting for both lenders and borrowers, often with a focus on acquisition and development deals, as well as general refinancings. She regularly advises on insolvency-related transactions, including acting for insolvency practitioners in pre-pack administrations and liquidation sales.
Helen qualified in 2001 and joined the firm as a partner in 2012. She is ranked by Chambers UK as a leading individual and by Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom as a leading corporate finance specialist. The Legal 500 notes that she ‘has excellent all round depth of knowledge, responds fast and is determined to get the best for her clients’.
