Profile

Caroline is an associate in the contentious private client team. She has experience of acting for private individuals, trustees and charities in a wide range of contentious trust and probate matters.  

Her role involves advising on claims arising out of disputed wills, breaches of trust, the administration of estates and proprietary estoppel, as well as claims brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

Caroline joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2021, having qualified as a solicitor at another London-based firm known for its contentious trust and probate work.

Recent work highlights

  • Successfully defending a 1975 Act claim brought by an estranged adult daughter.
  • Representing trustees of a discretionary will trust in relation to a dispute over the exercise of their powers.
  • Advising on a challenge to the validity of a will on the grounds of lack of testamentary capacity and lack of knowledge and approval.
