Penningtons Manches Cooper advises Your.Cloud on acquisition of Cloud Geeni
The corporate team at Penningtons Manches Cooper has advised Your.Cloud, a leading European managed services platform, on its acquisition of Cloud Geeni, a UK-based managed service provider supporting SMEs with managed IT support, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity services.
Your.Cloud is a leading European investment and operating platform focused on building premium managed service providers (MSPs) across Europe. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Amsterdam, the group specialises in IT outsourcing, delivering services including cloud solutions, cybersecurity, connectivity, and modern workplace services.
Cloud Geeni has developed a strong position in the UK SME market, building on over 30 years of technology heritage through the Key Computers family. Based in Leigh, the business provides a range of managed IT services, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions. Following the acquisition, Cloud Geeni will continue to operate under its existing name with its established team in place and support from Your.Cloud.
The transaction represents a further step in Your.Cloud’s UK growth strategy, strengthening its presence in the region and enhancing its capabilities for small and medium-sized enterprises. The acquisition is the fourth completed by Your.Cloud in the UK and forms part of its wider strategy to build a leading pan-European managed services platform, bringing together entrepreneurial IT businesses that benefit from shared expertise, investment, and scale, while remaining locally led.
This also marks the third acquisition that Penningtons Manches Cooper has advised Your.Cloud on in the last 12 months. The team was led by corporate partners, Emma Bryant and Adam McGiveron, with support from associate Faryaal Aziz. The wider team included pensions partner Alison Hills and senior associate Clare Coley, employment managing associate Charissa Upton, corporate tax partner Oliver Gutman, and IP, IT and commercial partner Oliver Kidd and associate Louis Fellows.
