The corporate team at Penningtons Manches Cooper has advised West Midlands based Claverley Group Limited on its acquisition of London based B2B media marketing business Lyonsdown.
The acquisition is the fifth made by Claverley Group since 2018 and follows on from the acquisitions of children’s magazine publisher, Kennedy Publishing; creative design and print management business, Cubiquity; business to business publisher HPCi Media; and children’s magazine publisher, Signature Publishing.
Lyonsdown generates revenue from the creation and distribution of written and broadcast content, as well as a range of events and lead generation. It owns and publishes content on www.business-reporter.co.uk and www.teiss.co.uk. Lyonsdown will continue to operate from its current base in London, with all staff being retained.
The Penningtons Manches Cooper team advising Claverley Group was led by corporate partner Richard Wrigley, with support from associate Jennifer Ford and trainee solicitor Kajol Harrar. The wider team included support from corporate tax partner Oliver Gutman, pensions partner Alison Hills and senior associate Clare Coley, commercial senior associate Nora Pook, employment associate Tom Pimenta and real estate senior associate Lauren Winch.
