The corporate team at Penningtons Manches Cooper has advised EC Electronics, a global provider of electronic manufacturing services for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and product innovators, on its recent funding from Rockpool Investments.

EC Electronics is one of the leading electronics manufacturing service providers for OEMs and product innovators in the UK and Europe. The investment by Rockpool supports EC Electronics’ mission to become one of the biggest players in the European electronic manufacturing services market in the next two years.

The Penningtons Manches Cooper team was led by corporate partner Simon Bickerdike, with support from corporate associates Hatem Abass and Danielle Broadhead. The wider team included banking partner John Chater, tax partner Stephen Goldstraw, tax associate Leonie Langley, employment partner Mike Cole, real estate senior associate Nellie van der Lande, commercial partner Oliver Kidd, pensions partner Alison Hills and pensions senior associate Clare Coley.

Phil Simmonds, CEO at EC Electronics, commented: “We’re looking at a bright future ahead, and the funding from Rockpool will allow the company to grow on a scale it hasn’t seen before. Working with Simon and the team at Penningtons Manches Cooper was an absolute pleasure, we valued their expertise and look forward to working with them in the future as the business expands.”
