The Penningtons Manches Cooper corporate team has advised Guncast Swimming Pools Limited on its sale to German company Klafs GMbH & Co. KG.
Guncast, which has offices in London, Oxford, Manchester and New York, is one of the most sought after swimming pool brands and Klafs is the global market leader for the design and delivery of a range of hydrothermal solutions, including snow cabins, ice fountains, steam baths and saunas. The two organisations first entered into a commercial partnership in 2018 in relation to the design, supply, installation and service of wellness suites in the UK.
The acquisition will enable Klafs to provide a comprehensive package, streamlining the client experience by bringing both brands under one umbrella. The management team of Guncast will continue with the organisation.
The Penningtons Manches Cooper team was led by corporate partners Adam McGiveron and Emma Bryant. Partner Kathy Hills and associate Leonie Langley from the tax team and Hester Jewitt, senior associate in the employment team, also advised on the deal.
Jack Harding, CEO, Guncast Pools and Wellness commented “Adam, Emma and the Penningtons Manches Cooper team worked tirelessly and were locked in from day one on delivering this deal for Guncast on time, efficiently, on budget and to a high professional standard culminating in a mutually beneficial agreement with both Gunast and Klafs. I am convinced that with the majority acquisition of Guncast, the KLAFS Group have taken an important step towards the internationalisation of our Sauna & Spa business and the expansion of our luxury pool division.”
