Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP is very saddened by the death of Sarah Johnson, a partner with us in the employment team until 2017. After a long period of illness with cancer, Sarah died last month.
Sarah joined Manches as a solicitor in 1999 and was greatly respected by clients and colleagues alike for her sharp analysis of the most complex legal issues and her strong commercial sense. She was made a partner in 2004. Sarah had a particular expertise within the retail sector and advised many high end brands on all aspects of employment law. She was incredibly supportive to both her colleagues and clients and she always looked out for their best interests. Within the employment team she was responsible for the development and welfare of our trainees who, along with many lawyers, have benefited from her guidance over the years.
Sarah will be remembered as a wonderfully genuine friend and she is much missed by her clients and her friends at Penningtons Manches Cooper.
