Laura Naser, a family law solicitor in the Guildford office of Penningtons Manches LLP, has won €500 as one of the two runner ups in the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) European Chapter Annual Award for Young Family Lawyers.
The Young Lawyers Award is an annual writing competition open to young family lawyers of up to 10 years qualification. It aims to promote research and excellence and to increase awareness among other legal professionals of the work and objectives of the IAFL.
This year the essay topic focussed on the international relocation of children and the competition was incredibly stiff with 14 entries being submitted from jurisdictions throughout Europe.
A member of Resolution, Laura has dealt with a variety of cross-jurisdictional matters in USA, Australia and Europe. She also has particular expertise in financial cases and disputes concerning arrangements for children and in emergency situations making urgent applications to the court in cases relating to children, finances and domestic abuse.
