A briefing on India’s investment potential at the London Stock Exchange has brought together foreign institutional investors and members of a Confederation of Indian Industry CEO delegation to the UK.
Supported by Penningtons Manches, the meeting involved key British institutional investors including Arden Partners, Carmignac, Elara Capital, Federated Investors, Fidelity Growth Partners, Jefferies, Jupiter Asset Management, Marshal Funds, Payden & Rygel, and PIMCO.
Nikhil Rathi, Chief of Staff at the London Stock Exchange Group, welcomed the delegation and Suneel Bhakshi, CEO of LCH.Clearnet, offered closing remarks. High Commissioner Ranjan Mathai also addressed the gathering, outlining cooperation between India and the UK through the Economic and Financial Dialogue, while Sunil Kaushal, Regional Chief Executive India & South Asia at Standard Chartered, spoke of recent liberalisation in the financial services industries in India.
During the proceedings the Confederation of Indian Industry delegation encouraged investors to closely follow the burgeoning Indian market.
