Penningtons Manches LLP has further extended its range of services in its Cambridge office with the recruitment of Sallyann Short, the former head of the private client team in Greenwoods Solicitors’ Cambridge office.
The Pennington Manches Cambridge office has grown steadily since it was set up in May 2012 and this latest service extension reflects the overall firm’s greater strength in the provision of services for private individuals since the formation of Penningtons Manches in October 2013.
A qualified solicitor as well as a financial and pensions consultant, Sallyann advises high net worth clients and non-domiciled individuals on all aspects of estate planning and administration, creation of trusts, probate, wills and the affairs of elderly clients.
Prior to joining Greenwoods in 2011, where she led the private client team and helped to establish a Cambridge presence for the firm after its 2012 merger with Walker and Wallis, Sallyann spent eight years at Taylor Vinters Solicitors in Cambridge.
Tim Palmer, head of the private individuals division at Penningtons Manches, said: “The establishment of a private client practice in Cambridge is part of our ongoing expansion plan for the office. Since 2012 we have strengthened our corporate, commercial, banking and life sciences capability as well as building a clinical negligence and personal injury team. Sallyann’s appointment is the next step towards a full service offering for both businesses and individuals.”
