Tim is head of the private individuals division and a member of the firm's management board. He is also Penningtons Manches Cooper's risk and compliance partner, Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Compliance Officer for Legal Practice, as well as having responsibility for the firm's best practice group.
As a partner in the clinical negligence and personal injury team, he represented claimants for more than 20 years, successfully concluding many cases through negotiated settlements and where necessary at trial. He is accredited as a mediator by the Centre For Dispute Resolution and has been on the approved solicitors lists of the Spinal Injuries Association and Headway. He has also been a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel, the AvMA Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel and the Legal Aid Agency’s Review Panel. In 2016 he was appointed an Honorary AvMA Panel member. Honorary AvMA Panel membership is awarded to selected former AvMA Panel members in order to recognise the longstanding and significant contribution that an individual has made in the field of clinical negligence and patient safety as well as to the work of AvMA.
