Five Penningtons Manches family law specialists named as London Super Lawyers

The 2014 edition of the Thomson Reuters London Super Lawyers list has recognised five senior members of Penningtons Manches' family team. Partners Jane Craig, Gillian Rivers, James Stewart and Anna Worwood and consultant Louise Spitz have all been acknowledged as leaders in their field in family law. In addition, James Stewart has been included in the Top 100 Lawyers in London list.

Designated as a solicitor-rating service which aims to bring visibility to solicitors who exhibit excellence in the practice of law, Super Lawyers originated in the United States in 1991. Now established in the London legal market place, it has developed a rigorous selection process in order to create a comprehensive listing of outstanding solicitors which can be used as a resource for both lawyers and consumers searching for legal counsel.

Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third-party research and each candidate is assessed on 12 indicators of professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual basis and the results are published both in the London Super Lawyers Magazine and the Telegraph Magazine. 

Commenting on the team's success, Jane Craig, who heads the family practice at Penningtons Manches, said: "We are delighted that our specialist expertise has been recognised in this way, particularly in view of the stringent research criteria adopted by Thomson Reuters. Only 5% of those who are initially nominated by their peers are ultimately named as Super Lawyers, underlining the elite nature of this publication."
