The UKBA's public enquiry offices (PEOs) have experienced severe disruption over the past few weeks. However, the UKBA has reassured us that it is aiming to resume a normal service as quickly as possible.
In addition, Penningtons has been informed that senior caseworkers, who are dealing with cases at the PEOs, have been asked to assist with passport control at Heathrow Airport which has resulted in a shortage of caseworkers at the PEOs.
The UKBA intends to review its opening hours for PEOs as well as its appointment scheduling system in order to manage service disruption more effectively in the future and provide a more efficient service to applicants.
