The UKBA has announced that applicants waiting for decisions on UK settlement applications submitted by post will experience delays over the coming weeks due to a surge in the number of applications. In accordance with its customer service standard, the UKBA makes decisions on most applications within 12 weeks and all applications within 24 weeks, however, many decisions on UK settlement are taking the full 24 weeks to be made. The Border Agency has assured us that it is working hard to reduce the impact of the delays on customers and it apologises for any inconvenience caused.
