Penningtons Solicitors LLP's Hampshire office has hosted an event with a difference at Brighton Hill Community College in Basingstoke. With a group made up of local families and clients, the firm organised a series of lasertag competitions in wheelchairs. The challenge event saw disabled and able-bodied children and adults alike taking to wheelchairs to hide behind inflatable obstacles and attempting to take out the opposing team with laser guns. A great time was had by all.
Penningtons acts in a personal capacity for a large number of disabled children and their families, including advising on deputyship and Court of Protection issues as well as clinical negligence and personal injury claims for accidents which brought about the need for a wheelchair.
Wheelchair Laser Tag is an organisation, which Penningtons sponsors, that arranges wheelchair laser tag events throughout Hampshire and the South East. It is a fun and exciting activity for people of all ages and abilities, not just for wheelchair users, but for everyone, with or without a disability.
Julie Burton, partner in Penningtons' capacity and Court of Protection team, commented: "This was a fun evening for a wonderful group of people. Giving the children and their families the chance to take part in this inclusive activity, and where they had the upperhand over non-wheelchair users, was a fantastic opportunity. We are delighted that everyone enjoyed themselves."
