Amrita Therapeutics has appointed Penningtons as its sole international legal counsel following a detailed application process. Penningtons will advise the company on all its cross-border legal requirements, including intellectual property, corporate and commercial, banking and finance matters as well as joint ventures, fund raisings, technology collaborations and dispute resolution.
Amrita Therapeutics is a leading-edge biotechnology company, based in Gujarat, which is pursuing a dual programme of research on both novel peptide-based therapies and the development of hybrid therapeutic devices for in situ cancer therapy. Its aim is to provide more effective alternatives for the treatment of cervical cancer, viral, and multi-resistant bacterial infections by designing products to defend the human body against more than one disease simultaneously.
