Acting decisively in personal injury claims and regulatory and criminal investigations

After a fatality during a mooring operation in a UK port, we mobilised rapidly to represent crew members at police, Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) interviews and to protect the shipowners’ interests during ongoing investigations by the authorities, whilst simultaneously securing documentary, witness and physical evidence.

We also acted for the vessel’s owners in defending criminal prosecutions, as well as assisting them at coroner inquests.

We are the market leaders in advising on and defending marine personal injury claims and investigations. Our lawyers have gained personal injury expertise across Europe and frequently deal with high value cases brought by seafarers and their families. We also act for clients facing investigations by regulatory authorities and criminal prosecutions.
