Funding a medical negligence claim
Initial advice about a potential medical negligence claim is usually provided without charge or obligation so that we can properly assess and advise you on the merits of bringing a compensation claim before you commit.
After that some people are able to utilise legal expenses insurance which they may have under a household contents insurance policy or union funding.
Most of our cases, however, are dealt with under a conditional fee agreement – commonly referred to as a ‘no win no fee’ agreement. They are assessed on a case by case basis according to the merits of each individual claim. Where we can offer such agreements, it means that you are protected by not having to pay any costs while the case is ongoing or if you are unsuccessful.
We do undertake work under private funding in some cases where alternative funding is not available for any reason but will look to arrange alternative funding where we can.
