Sarah Everington

Associate

Sarah is an associate in the family team based in London. Her practice encompasses all aspects of private family law, including financial remedy proceedings and child arrangements following marital or relationship breakdown, divorce and separation. She also advises on pre- and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation disputes.

A significant number of Sarah’s cases involve complex financial disputes with an international element. She has experience in the enforcement of financial remedy orders where one party fails to comply, including those involving the non-disclosure of assets. She has an understanding of LGBTQ+ family issues, including international and domestic surrogacy. While Sarah has a growing experience of litigation at all levels, including in highly contested court proceedings in the Court of Appeal and High Court, she is also committed to working with clients out of court to constructively resolve matters where appropriate.

I am passionate about my work and understand the importance of listening to clients and building trusting relationships. My aim is to support clients during what is often a difficult and emotional time to secure positive and practical outcomes. Clients have praised my calm, empathetic and robust approach.
