Rosie is a senior associate in the medical negligence team in London. Since qualifying she has taken on a wide-ranging case load with claims involving brain injury, orthopaedic injuries, maternal injuries, cauda equina, maxillofacial surgery and amputation.

Her specialist areas of focus include cerebral palsy and birth injury claims, orthopaedic injuries, and claims involving sepsis. Described in the legal directories as a ‘standout individual’ and ‘a solicitor with a bright future in clinical negligence’, Rosie deals with complex, high-value cases involving both NHS and private medical treatment and often involving multiple defendants.

She has successfully secured judgment for a client at a High Court Trial and has expertise in inquest cases. Rosie is accredited by the Law Society in her practice area and is ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers legal directories. She has previously been invited to deliver a webinar by Lexis Nexis.

Rosie has particular expertise in quantifying maximum severity cerebral palsy claims. She specialises in running claims for police officers, with expert knowledge at quantifying loss of earnings and police pension. As a result of her expertise, Rosie receives frequent personal referrals, both from the case studies she writes and from recommendations from counsel and former clients.

Securing £14.1 million for a young boy with dyskinetic cerebral palsy following negligent antenatal care.

Negligent prenatal treatment

Advising a client who had suffered cerebral haemorrhage due to a fetal inflammatory response resulting from negligent treatment provided to his mother whilst pregnant.

Cerebral palsy due to kernicterus

Investigating the nature and extent of a client’s injuries, and quantifying damages, following admissions of liability, involving 11 medico-legal experts.

Securing damages for young widow

Representing a widow following the death of her husband in hospital from acute aortic dissection, and settling the case a month before trial despite denial of liability, securing our client’s future and that of her sons.

Settling claim missed diagnosis

Securing pre-action admissions of liability and obtaining damages for a wealth manager client due to failings in radiology reporting, leading to a missed diagnosis of a sub-arachnoid haemorrhage and delayed treatment of a near-fatal brain injury.
