Rachel is the director of global business development and marketing at Penningtons Manches Cooper. She leads a dedicated team of business development and marketing professionals, driving the firm’s UK and international growth initiatives.

As a member of both the executive board and strategy board, Rachel works closely with the firm’s CEO to shape and implement the firm’s international strategy. She also sits on the responsible business committee, supporting the firm’s ambition to be recognised as the most human law firm. In this role she provides direction and support to help deliver the firm’s goals across its social impact, diversity, equality and inclusion, wellbeing, and environmental working groups.

It is a pleasure to lead such a talented marketing and business development team. I am proud of our approach at putting clients at the heart of everything we do and supporting our partners in delivering an exceptional service and experience for our clients.

Rachel joined the firm in October 2022, having previously been the global head of business development for the energy sector at an international law firm. There she was responsible for the planning and delivery of the global energy strategy across all regions, and for ensuring the engagement of more than 1,500 energy lawyers.

Before her career in the legal sector, Rachel was head of global operations for the International Project Finance Association, an international, independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and representing the interests of private sector companies involved in PPP, PFI and project finance for infrastructure and energy projects worldwide.
