Patrick is a senior associate in the London family law team. He advises clients on all areas of family law, including divorce, dissolutions of civil partnerships and separation, cohabitation, financial matters, children, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.

A Russian and Spanish speaker, Patrick has particular expertise in resolving family law issues for high net worth (HNW) and ultra high net worth (UHNW) clients with an international connection. This includes clients from the USA, Russia, the CIS, the Americas and Spain.

My aim is to understand your unique priorities and way of thinking, to give you empathetic yet pragmatic advice that is tailored to your needs in order to resolve your family law issues. Everyone is different, and I will strive to ensure that we work together to find the best way forward for you.

Patrick works collaboratively with his clients and with the lawyers representing other parties to resolve matters in a constructive and discreet manner wherever possible. When clients need a lawyer to fight their corner, he is uncompromising in protecting their best interests. Patrick has a track record of representing clients successfully in court proceedings in the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Prior to law, Patrick worked in sales, marketing and business development roles for over four years in Russia, Ecuador and Spain. This included working for Deloitte CIS in Moscow from 2012 to 2014. Patrick harnesses his experience of working abroad for commercial organisations to resolve his clients’ issues with an open mind, creativity, cultural sensitivity and financial acumen.

Acting for a UHNW client with links to England, Russia, Switzerland and the USA to secure significantly higher financial settlement proposals from their former spouse following a divorce in Russia.

Protecting inherited wealth

Securing a financial settlement for a UHNW client who protected inherited wealth and obtained shared care of their children after successfully defending allegations of abuse.

International UHNW marital agreement

Advising an UHNW client with connections to Greece, the USA and England on a pre-nuptial agreement, and successfully negotiating terms to protect the vast majority of the client’s expected inheritance.

Anglo-US clients’ tax

Helping US nationals living in England to navigate challenging US-UK tax issues to achieve financial settlements that successfully ring-fenced pre-marital wealth.

International civil partnership dissolution

Representing a HNW client on proceedings to dissolve a civil partnership and resolve related financial matters, with connections to the USA, England and Ireland.

Gender recognition certificate

Successfully applying on behalf of a pro-bono client for a gender recognition certificate to obtain legal recognition of their gender.

International child relocation

Acting for a HNW client in child relocation and international child abduction proceedings with links to the USA and England, where the client gained permission to relocate permanently to their native Denmark with their child.
