Profile

Sophie is an associate in the private client team, based in Guildford. She deals with a broad range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, estate administration and inheritance tax planning. Sophie has a particular interest in the administration of contentious estates and will be working closely with the contentious private client team in this area. 

Sophie joined the firm in 2023, having qualified as a solicitor in March 2022 following her successful training contract at another leading Legal 500 law firm based in Surrey and the Thames Valley. 

Prior to qualifying, Sophie graduated from the University of Surrey with a first class honours degree in law and was awarded the head of law school prize for ‘best overall performance’. She completed her LPC LLM with distinction at the University of Law in Guildford and undertook a placement year working with high-net-worth individuals and advising on succession planning and tax mitigation strategies.
