Portrait of Robbie Skinner

Profile

Robbie is an associate in the firm’s marine, trade and aviation team. He has broad commercial litigation and dispute resolution experience, having initially joined the firm’s commercial dispute resolution team as a paralegal.

Acting for a wide range of clients including P&I clubs, shipowners, and charterers, Robbie has been involved in several multi-jurisdictional disputes which required preparation for trial and hearings in high value cases concerning ship finance, charterparty disputes, salvage, and insurance issues. He is therefore familiar with Commercial Court and Admiralty Court procedure, as well as London arbitration. Robbie has also assisted clients seeking alternative methods of settling their disputes by way of mediation.

As a member of the firm’s sports sub-group, Robbie has gained particular experience in matters concerning the English Football Association’s Rule K arbitration procedure.

After studying law & sociology at the University of Warwick, which included an Erasmus year in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Robbie completed his Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School, before qualifying as a solicitor in March 2021.
