Profile

Laura is a senior associate in the real estate litigation team. She qualified in 2017, having joined Penningtons Manches Cooper as a trainee solicitor in 2015. Prior to this, she worked as a paralegal at a leading London real estate firm, specialising in off-plan residential developments, and as a pro bono clinic co-ordinator.

Laura deals with disputes in the areas of commercial and residential real estate and social housing. She has experience of a wide range of claims, including possession, disrepair, trespass, access injunctions, 1954 Act proceedings, trusts of land and professional negligence. Her clients include institutional investors, listed companies and social housing providers, in addition to private individuals.

Recent work highlights

  • Assisting an institutional landlord with a substantial trespass claim relating to a large development site.
  • Acting for a property trading company to secure possession of numerous residential properties subject to regulated and assured tenancies.
  • Assisting with a TOLATA claim relating to the multimillion pound family home of an unmarried, same-sex couple.
  • Settling a dispute, on behalf of a French conglomerate tenant, regarding the early termination of a tenancy agreement and recovery of the rent deposit paid.
