Michaela is a partner in the corporate team in London. She specialises in corporate transactions, with a particular focus on investment, scale-up businesses and M&A.
Her clients range from entrepreneurs, start-ups, and VCs, to high-net worth individuals, family-owned and managed businesses and family offices. Michaela regularly advises on complex UK and cross-border matters, including transactions involving the US and other international jurisdictions, helping clients to grow and operate globally. She takes a practical, commercial and solution-focused approach, delivering high-quality advice that adds value beyond the transaction itself, whether through specialist expertise, introductions to investors or access to an international network of trusted advisers. A significant part of Michaela’s work has an international element and she regularly assists non-UK based clients, with a particular focus on Europe, the USA, and the Middle East.
I sit at the centre of my clients’ business matters and advise them on all corporate matters and transactions. As a trusted advisor, I am often asked to assist with their wider legal concerns, sourcing expertise from around our firm. I am sought after for my pragmatic and solution-driven approach. For me, it is not just about completing a deal; it is about building long-term relationships and helping clients to achieve their ambitions and succeed as they grow.
Michaela leads and advises on strategic initiatives across the tech and AI ecosystem with members across Europe and the USA, giving support to founders and startups, from early-stage growth through scale, in raising funds, navigating the regulatory landscape, matching with business partners and investors, and expanding their business, as well as on joint ventures and acquisitions. Michaela’s work focuses on aligning capital, technology and partnerships to accelerate value creation and sustainable expansion.
She often participates at International Bar Association (IBA) conferences and speaks at thought leadership events and has contributed to the UK chapter of the Global Legal Post’s FDI Jurisdictional Guide, the IBA’s monthly publications and the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe’s publications, as well as writing articles published on TNW.
