Luke Shaw
Senior associate
Luke is a senior associate in the employment team based in Oxford. He specialises in advising employers, individuals, unions and their members on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
He is recognised in particular for his expertise advising on industrial disputes and complex employment litigation, including claims involving allegations of discrimination, disputes concerning TUPE and matters involving issues of territorial jurisdictional. He also advises on a wide range of day-to-day HR matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues, policies and procedures and redundancies and re-organisations.
I am an employment lawyer advising our clients on the full spectrum of employment law issues, with a particular interest in complex and novel matters. I enjoy helping clients navigate through the complexities of the legal landscape in a way that is understandable and mindful of the commercial realities of their business.
The variety of Luke’s work leads him to act for a broad range of employers, particularly within the life sciences and technology, transport and maritime sectors. These include a multi-national transport group, an international supplier of liquified natural gas, and spin-out companies from the University of Oxford, Imperial College London and other universities.
Luke qualified in 2018 and joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in January 2019. He is a member of the firm’s life sciences, shipping and industrial relations sector groups and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
