Senior associate

Louise is a senior associate in the personal injury and medical negligence team. She specialises in catastrophic, psychiatric injury, abuse and sports claims and has acted on international cases in Europe, Asia and America.

Louise handles catastrophic injury claims caused by accidents, medical negligence and assaults, as well as severe psychiatric injury claims arising from abuse or employer negligence. She acts for both claimants and defendants and serves some of the firm’s largest clients.

I am a civil litigator, specialising in personal injury – in the UK and internationally – and medical negligence. I unusually act for both claimants and defendants, for which my clients seek me out. I am strategic, thoughtful and determined, and my approach to each claim is rooted firmly in the needs of my clients.

Louise has been ranked in both Chambers UK and the Legal 500 since 2022. She is an accredited member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and belongs to the following special interest groups: international personal injury claims; multiparty actions; and brain injury. Louise co-chairs the firm’s pro bono committee, working alongside the diversity, equity and inclusion team. She won the Law Works Junior Lawyers Division Pro Bono Award in 2018 and was a runner-up as Diversity Lawyer of the Year in the Women in Law Awards in 2024.

Vicarious liability appeal

Responding to an appeal brought by Wetherspoons against a finding of vicarious liability, with aggravated damages and enhanced costs, for the assault of a client. Judgment is pending.

Grenfell Tower litigation

Leading on behalf of police officers psychiatrically injured during their attendance at the UK Grenfell Tower fire in a multi-party litigation at the High Court.

Claim against religious institution

Acting in a very high-profile matter on behalf of an institution accused of abusing members of its religious sect. The claims are ongoing.

Psychiatric injury settlement

Representing a police officer who sustained a catastrophic psychiatric injury and who lost his policing career due to an inappropriate deployment at work.

Acting for a professional footballer injured in training, with a possibly life-long career impact.
