Laura is a partner in the Oxford real estate team specialising in commercial property. She advises clients across a variety of sectors including education, life sciences, property development, charities and retail.
Laura has particular expertise advising both developers and landowners on residential and commercial development schemes, including option and promotion agreements and site assembly, debt and forward funding, and onward sales or lettings. She also acts for clients in the science and technology sectors in relation to leasehold premises, particularly start-up and spin-out companies, and assists those acquiring newly built premises. She has longstanding experience of acting on transactions at the major Oxfordshire science parks and is a business affiliate member of the United Kingdom Science Parks Association.
I am a transactional real estate lawyer advising clients on the acquisition, development, funding and disposal of properties. Clients value my commercial approach to resolving complex legal issues, collaborative attitude and pro-active style of transaction management.
As well as working in the private sector, Laura has significant experience acting for charitable clients on property acquisitions, disposals and mortgages and advising on compliance with the relevant regulatory regime. She is a charity trustee in her spare time, so understands keenly the pressures faced by the charity sector. A keen champion of inclusion in the real estate sector, Laura is the vice-chair of the Thames Valley branch of Women in Property.
