Lara Mardell

Managing associate

Lara assists individuals, families and their advisers on English legal and UK tax matters, with a particular focus on clients with international connections. Her practice spans the UK, US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and she is experienced in helping clients with the complex tax and structuring issues that arise when relocating to, or from, the UK.

She works closely with professional advisers in multiple jurisdictions to deliver coordinated cross-border advice, taking into account not only tax considerations but also clients’ broader personal, family and wealth planning objectives. Lara also regularly advises trustees, foreign lawyers, wealth managers and other professional intermediaries on international private wealth matters. Lara has extensive experience advising high-net-worth individuals and internationally mobile families on UK tax, succession planning, trust structures and wealth preservation strategies. Her approach combines technical excellence with a practical understanding of the personal, commercial and family considerations that often sit behind wealth planning decisions.

My focus is on understanding what matters most to each client, whether that is protecting family wealth, supporting future generations, managing an international lifestyle, or preparing for a major life transition. By working closely with clients and their advisers around the world, I aim to deliver clear, practical advice that helps them achieve their long-term objectives with confidence.
