Profile

Thomas is an associate in the commercial, IP and IT team in the Reading office. He advises on all aspects of intellectual property protection and enforcement, with a particular emphasis on protecting, managing and enforcing trade marks both internationally and in the UK. He also advises on commercial and IT agreements, as well as the commercialisation of intellectual property, including licensing and franchising. 

In addition, Thomas is experienced in advising on data protection matters, having assisted clients on a range of matters from data protection compliance audits, data sharing agreements, data protection impact assessments and international data transfers to data breach issues and data protection policies. He also advises on intellectual property, IT and data protection matters in the context of investments, mergers and acquisitions. 

Working with clients across a broad range of sectors, Thomas is experienced in advising food and drink producers, professional regulatory bodies and pharmaceutical companies as well as clients within the tech and financial industries. He joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2020, having previously qualified at and worked for another leading UK law firm.
