Profile

Pria is an associate in the private client team at Penningtons Manches Cooper and is experienced in a range of private client work including tax planning, wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and the administration of estates.

She assists with the preparation of wills and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, and advises on trust structures to mitigate any potential tax liabilities and preserve wealth for future generations. Pria is also responsible for preparing lifetime trusts and advises on the relevant tax implications.

A member of STEP, the world’s leading organisation for private wealth professionals, Pria gained the additional STEP qualification of Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients with distinction. She is an associate member of the Solicitors For The Elderly national group, as well as being a member of the Law Society (private client section). She joined Penningtons Manches Cooper from Wedlake Saint in 2011.

Recent work highlights

  • Assisting with planning wills and preparing trusts for vulnerable beneficiaries and advising on appropriate structures to benefit them.
  • Advising on the administration of estates, both where a will has been left and where it has not, and on the use of post-death variations of estates.
  • Preparing and registering lasting powers of attorney, both for financial affairs and health and welfare, and providing advice to attorneys as to their duties and powers under a lasting power of attorney.
  • Assisting with the re-sealing of colonial grants of probate.
  • Advising on and preparing advance decisions (previously known as living wills).
