Profile

Eva is an associate in the commercial dispute resolution team in London. She assists with a broad range of matters including commercial contractual disputes, professional negligence claims and reputation management issues. Her practice consists of a diverse mix of private individual and corporate clients, including overseas banks, SMEs, high net worth individuals and unions and staff associations, across a variety of sectors, as both claimants and defendants. Eva has experience across multiple forums including the County Court, High Court and specialist arbitration tribunals.

As a dedicated disputes solicitor with a particular interest in sports disputes, Eva is an active member of the firm’s sports sector group with particular expertise in professional football. She is a co-founder and host of our firm’s sports podcast “Fair Play”, a series that brings together sportswomen, sports professionals and lawyers to discuss the challenges faced by female athletes throughout their playing career. Recent episodes have covered reputation management, safeguarding, motherhood and retirement from sport.

Eva qualified in 2019, having joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2017. Prior to this, she obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Bristol before completing the Legal Practice Course, graduating with distinction. She is recognised by The Legal 500 as ‘impressive’ and is listed as a key lawyer in Penningtons Manches Coopers’ reputation management team. In addition to her legal practice she is also co-chair of the firm’s race and faith committee, a key pillar of the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.

  • Advising in a high-profile contractual football dispute which was heard before the Premier League’s Managers’ Arbitration Tribunal, from instruction to final hearing, securing the client an excellent result.
  • Key associate in one of The Lawyer’s 'Top 20 Cases of 2023' – a professional negligence claim (which went to trial) arising from the sale of a professional football club.
  • Successfully representing over 1,200 claimants in a high-profile and high-value group action data breach claim against a public organisation.
  • Acting on behalf of a client in a libel action against a high-profile journalist regarding a campaign of harassment and defamation. Successfully negotiated a settlement post-issue of proceedings.
  • Lead associate in a high-value joint venture dispute involving claims for procuring breach of contract and repudiation of exit agreement.
  • Assisting with successful applications for strike-out and summary judgment for a prestigious overseas bank in relation to claims of fraud and conspiracy in the High Court.
