Emily is an associate in the corporate team in London. She has advised on a range of corporate law matters, including M&A, group restructuring, debt and equity finance, shareholders’ and founders’ agreements and general corporate governance issues. Emily is also a member of the firm’s fashion, luxury and lifestyle sector group, and the North America group.

From start-ups to established businesses, Emily has acted for clients across a variety of sectors including software and technology, real estate, financial services and hospitality.

Emily joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2022 from another London law firm, where she trained and qualified in 2019. Prior to commencing her career, she studied at the University of Exeter where she read law with international study, completing her third year in the US at the University of Connecticut School of Law.

  • Advising the senior leadership team at BTE Plant Sales Limited on the management buy-out of one of the largest independent plant suppliers in the UK from its shareholders.
  • Advising regional news publisher Newsquest Media Group on its acquisition of Archant Community Media Limited from private investment firm Rcapital.
  • Acting for an international group of companies in connection with the UK aspects of a reorganisation and consolidation of its corporate structure prior to the provision of a new security package in favour of an institutional lender.
