Profile

Carys is an associate in the commercial dispute resolution team in London. Her practice covers a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, advising international and UK based businesses and individuals in areas including commercial and corporate disputes, regulatory compliance, reputation management, and data protection and privacy.

She has experience of both alternative dispute resolution and litigation, having worked on cases in county courts, the High Court and the Court of Appeal. 

Carys joined the firm as a trainee in 2019 and qualified as a solicitor in 2021. Prior to her training contract, Carys completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Bristol and undertook the GDL and LPC MSc at the University of Law, graduating with distinction in both.

Recent work highlights

  • Assisting on negotiating a multimillion euro settlement between a commercial agency and an international fashion house, following a successful mediation between the parties.
  • Assisting on a billion dollar anti-suit injunction matter sought by an international reinsurance broker and reinsurer, and in the preparation of the associated proceedings in the Commercial Court.
  • Advising on a global product recall of a defective consumer product for a technology manufacturer and retailer.
  • Advising a start-up on the regulation of CBD products and the launch of its product as a ‘novel food’.
  • Assisting individuals with claims in relation to defamation, privacy and data protection.
