Commercial dispute resolution
James is a knowledge paralegal in the commercial dispute resolution team and is based in the London office. He provides support and advice on the legal aspects arising in dispute resolution matters and keeps the team up to date by organising training.
James also assists fee earners with the implementation and use of legal technology, with a particular focus on e-disclosure software such as Relativity.
My legal background is diverse and includes fee-earning, legal project management and working on a public inquiry. Having encountered challenges in those varied contexts, I enjoy collaborating with colleagues to leverage knowledge and technology to support them in delivering excellent results for their clients.
Graduating from the University of Exeter with a degree in law with European study, he spent a year abroad at the Université d’Aix-Marseille. Prior to joining Penningtons Manches Cooper, he worked at Lambeth Council as a senior paralegal on a public inquiry where he was responsible for a team of paralegals on an employment project. In addition, he had roles in the social care and housing law teams.
James previously worked in a boutique law firm which specialised in assisting the parents of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) to navigate the complex education, health and care plan process.
