Gabby Mayes

Associate

Gabby is an associate within the firm’s employment team. She works with a variety of clients including individuals and corporations, advising on a range of employment law matters.

She has worked with clients across various industries, including a staff association and companies in construction, consultancy and hospitality. She has a particular interest in the retail sector. With experience in both contentious and non-contentious issues, Gabby has worked on a number of Employment Tribunal cases representing employees and employers on matters involving discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistleblowing claims. She additionally provides general HR support to clients across various industries, including advice on disciplinary and grievance issues, termination of employment, redundancies, company policies and other contractual issues. Gabby regularly provides pro bono advice working with a legal clinic in Cambridge.

I am an associate in the firm’s London office and I advise clients on the full range of employment law matters, including Employment Tribunal litigation, corporate transactions and general day-to-day HR queries and support.

She qualified in 2023 after completing her training contract at the firm. Prior to this, Gabby graduated from the University of Sheffield and spent a year studying international legal modules in Lucerne, Switzerland. Gabby is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, as well as Penningtons Manches Cooper’s socioeconomic and gender committees.
